“Cardiobase collaborated with our informatics and clinical teams to facilitate the integration of the organisation’s preferred e-Referral solution into the Cardiobase system. This development has reduced the administration and data-entry burden caused by paper referrals. Clinicians, including primary care, can now order tests using this ordering system and the orders are then automatically added to Cardiobase. Furthermore, my team now triage these orders on Cardiobase, including rejecting some, and book the appointments accordingly. The time saved has had a huge benefit to my department and the efficiency gain is clear. It is also a two-way system with real-time booking information going back to the ordering doctor.”

“Our reports are generated by Consultants off site. Prior to the PaperLite project we had to laboriously copy and paste both text and numerical tables into Cardiobase then double check this report to ensure all information has been transferred correctly. This was taking 15 minutes per report and we do 2000 of them per year. Now we can just attach the report we have been sent, it’s so much simpler and the time we have saved is amazing. Around 400 hours of staff time is being saved per year in this one process alone. This time can now be spent more appropriately doing clinical work.”
